About This Spot

Arriving at Shooters Lounge feels like stepping into a well-loved neighborhood retreat where time moves with casual ease. Nestled quietly in a small strip mall along Hickory’s busy Center Street, this spot hums with a welcoming mix of familiar faces and easy conversation. The lighting is warm but low, setting a pace that invites you to relax with a cold drink in hand, dive into a game of pool, or lean back to catch some live music on a laid-back evening.

Inside, the atmosphere is approachable and unpretentious—a place where the rhythm of laughter and clinking glasses blends effortlessly with the steady beat of classic tunes and the occasional live band hitting the stage. There’s a genuine sense of community here, where conversations flow freely among locals and newcomers alike, each adding to the distinct character of the lounge.

While not sprawling, the food menu offers thoughtfully curated bites that feel at home alongside a cold beer or a carefully mixed cocktail. You might find a plate of low country boiled shrimp or a handful of freshly shucked oysters complementing the friendly buzz around you. It’s not about a formal dining experience but about savoring familiar comfort fare that enhances the evening without fuss.

Shooters Lounge also few unique touches boost its charm—like the modest membership fee that unlocks access to free pool tables, adding a playful layer to nights here. The bartenders are part storyteller, part neighborhood confidant, making sure the drinks come with both skill and a smile. It’s the sort of place where regulars gather not just to watch a game or catch a band, but to feel part of something steady and easygoing amid the bustle of daily life.

Cool little bar on 127 in Hickory. In the middle of a small strip mall, they have good drink prices and plenty of pool tables. Friendly staff and they do have a small food menu. Live music at times as well. There is a $10 membership fee but well worth it.

Absolutely the best little bar in Hickory! Great music, awesome bartenders and cold beer! The Best wings in town!

They had John Paycheck and Toby Zig and the place was rocking. Fun spot!

We went there for a concert. Like most bars, there's a lot of noise in the background while the singer was singing. It's not a listening room. Only about five tables which all was reserved. There is a standing bar to one side that you can bring high chairs up to. The bartenders was great. Did not have a mixed drink. Don't really know about those. There's only four selections of draft beer but lots of others. I thought it was very economical. There is a cover charge to get in but since we had concert tickets it was waived. My wife had the chicken strips and fries. I had a sandwich. Both was really good. If you get a pizza it's the Red Baron which nothing's wrong with that. There is outdoor seating with a fire pit but we've listened to the music.

First time was last night I went out by myself... I had a good time even tho my bf did not accept the invitation. It's ok maybe next time. Ppl was really friendly and everyone was respectful to one another. Great music, everything was clean and nice set up. I only drank one drank. Membership $10 ... Free pool and I'm ready to go back and check the rest of it out. Thx
